- [ ] advertise events at least 2 weeks in advance so that folks have enough time to request accommodations
- [ ] include the approved accessibility statement in any advertising/reminder emails
- [ ] [for in-person events] ensure the event venue has accessible entrances and bathrooms
- [ ] [for events with food] ask attendees to email you about any food allergies/dietary restrictions ahead of time
- [ ] ask speaker for permission to make slides available before or after the presentation
- [ ] ask speaker for permission to record the presentation for those who cannot attend
- [ ] whenever possible, include a Zoom/virtual option for events
- [ ] [for online or hybrid events] enable closed captions on Zoom
- [ ] share presentation materials (slides and/or recording) after the event
